Color My Heart Color Dare Challenge #161

Here are this week's color challenge at Color My Heart Color Dare:

I love the warmth of the color palette, and I also wanted to play some more with the September special as well as the Stamp Of The Month.

I added a couple of Cocoa Fundamentals Specialty "paper ribbons", stamped the flower with Honey Exclusive Inks Stamp Pad, and the sentiment with Cocoa Exclusive Inks. A piece of Poppy Thick Twine added even more color at the side of the card. I thought it needed a little extra, so I used some Bling Gems Gold Assortments as flower centers and as a "button" on the paper ribbon.

Color My Heart Color Dare Challenge #159

Welcome to another Color My Heart Color Dare blog challenge! We will be featuring the beautiful colors from the Sangria Paper Packet this week:

I have been pretty active in FaceBook crafting swaps, and I do send some cards once in a while, so I am trying to build up my collection of cards that will be easy for mailing. Here is one example of it. I stamped the sentiment using the Stamp Of The Month for August (retired). I used Desert Sand and Chocolate Exclusive Inks Stamp Pads, and I also inked the edges of the paper with Mocha Pigment Ink. The Pomegranate Cardstock was embossed using Vines Embossing Folder. I could not resist a little shine, so I figured out a strip of Bronze Shimmer Trim would do the trick.

"Hello Life", National Stamping Month September Special

Close To My Heart is offering not one, not two, but three limited edition stamp sets to celebrate National Stamping Month.

Available only during the month of September, these exclusive C-size My Acrylix® Hello, Life! stamp sets can be purchased for $13.95 USD each! Or, for an even better deal, you can purchase all three for only $34.95 USD—a savings of $6.90 USD!

I combined some of the stamp sets to come up with my samples for this promotion. Hello Life- Pocket Scrapbooking focuses on those of us who love pocket scrapbooking, smashbooking and journaling. I stamped the images in the smaller 3"x4" pocket card with Sunset, Flaxen and Chocolate Exclusive Inks Stamp Pad, added some Sequins Gold Assortment and a zip strip from the Sangria paper packet. The 4"x6" pocket card had a love theme. I stamped the images with Black, Cotton Candy, Pixie and Ruby and fussy cut the edge. I then layered it on a Ruby Paper Fundamentals 4"x6" card.

I also made a layout using the Hello Life-Scrapbooking stamp set. I used the Sangria paper packet and a strip of Ruby Paper Fundamentals. The chevron "waves" were leftover cuts from another layout, cut using Eggplant Cardstock. I stamped the flowers in Ruby and Sunset, and everything else was stamped using Slate Exclusive Inks Stamp Pad.

I made a birthday card using the Hello Life-Cardmaking stamp set. I used Sorbet, Glacier and Sweet Leaf Exclusive Inks Stamp Pad and the Zoe Paper Packet for the 4"x6" card. A strip of Coral Shimmer Trim brightens up the look of the card.

As you can see, the stamp sets work better together, that's why I got all three! I can't wait to incorporate them in my journaling!

"Paper Garden", September Stamp Of The Month Blog Hop

Welcome to a very exciting Stamp Of The Month Blog Hop! This month is extra special because you will be able to see firsthand the new products from the Annual Inspirations Book. If you came from Darlys Recker's Blog, then you are in the right place! For a full list of hop participants, please visit Melinda's Blog.

I have been pretty active in FB swaps, and I needed some cards for my partners and for the recipients of RAK items. I made a couple of cards using Paper Garden with a sentiment thrown in from Hello Life-Cardmaking. I am also looking forward to fall, so I made the card bases out of Kraft Cardstock. The first card was embossed with Confetti Embossing folder. I fussy cut the flowers and arranged them to appear like they were also being tossed, like confetti. :-D All images were stamped using Cotton Candy, Canary, Pear and the sentiment was stamped using Juniper. I added some Sequins Gold Assortment for my flower centers.

My second card has a more fall feel with the use of neutrals. The colors that I used for stamping are: Desert Sand and Flaxen. I placed some Gold Sequins Assortment for added interest.
