CTMH September Stamp Of The Month Blog Hop

Family is Forever is September's Stamp Of The Month. This is a Constant Campaign product which can be yours for only $5 with every $50 purchase at Close to My heart!

If you came from Wendy's Blog, then you are in the right place! Check out Melinda's Blog for the complete list of the 80s plus participants (woot!) in this month's hop. I decided to go with a "Love" theme with this month's stamp set, Family Is Forever.

The color scheme is inspired by the White Stripes' color scheme of red, white and black. All the die cuts and the card can be found on page 42 of the Cricut Artiste Cartridge. I used Black Cardstock, Ruby Cardstock, Pear and White Daisy Cardstock for this project. The measurements that I used are as follows: card, belly band and sleeve: 5 1/2", sihouettes: 1 3/4", and frame: 2 1/2". I used some Sparkles Clear Assortment, and a flourish from Sparkles Black Flourishes-Small as my embellishments. I embossed the card sleeve with Damask Embossing Folder. I made some mini roses at 2" using the Art Philosophy Cricut Cartridge for the belly band. All images were stamped using Ruby Exclusive Inks Stamp Pad.

Color My Heart Color Dare Challenge #107

Here is this week's inspirational colors at Color My Heart Color Dare Blog Challenge:

Now this color combination posed a bit of a challenge for me, and then...a lightbulb lit up! I love Christmas, so why not make an early Christmas card? The tree is from the Christmas Cricut Cartridge cut at 4". The border was cut at 1" using the Art Philosophy cartridge. The Olive Cardstock used for the tree is from Close To My Heart and the plum border is from DCWV. I added Gold Polka-Dot Washi Tape and Gold Shimmer Trim to balance the design of the card. I also randomly outlined the tree and the border with gold ink, and to decorate the tree, I colored some Sparkles Clear Assortment with alcohol markers to match the border, and applied gold paint to the White Enamel Star which served as my tree topper.

Color My Heart Color Dare Challenge #106 Guest Designer Card

I would like to share my card that was inspired by this week's color scheme at Color My Heart Color Dare Challenge Blog:

The background is from the Artbooking Cartridge, cut at 5 1/2" using Juniper Cardstock. I cut some flourish corners at 2 1/4" and a linear flourish at 1" from the Art Philosophy Cartridge using Sweet Leaf Cardstock. I used the stamp set from Cricut Art Philosophy Seasons for my sentiment and the label. I added some neutrals into the color scheme: White Daisy Cardstock for the card base, Colonial White Cardstock for the roses, and Champagne Exclusive Inks for the sentiment label. The roses were cut using the Art Philosophy cartridge at 3", 2 1/2" and 2". I rolled them tightly so they would be smaller. The sentiment was stamped using Juniper Exclusive Ink. I added some Sequins Gold Assortment and Bitty Sparkles to the sentiment label, just to jazz it up.

Color My Heart Color Dare #105

The color inspiration for this week at Color My Heart Color Dare Blog Challenge, is Sunset, Pear and Barn Red.

I wanted to make a card using the owl from Give a Hoot, Close To My Heart's August Stamp of the month. I color matched the owl with alcohol markers so it would match Barn Red, and I also stamped the sentiment from Balloon Talk (April's Stamp of the month and it's now retired) Barn Red. I did more color matching with with my alcohol markers for the colors Sunset and Pear, since I don't have the paper on hand. The glittery green paper and Baker's twine which surprisingly were good matches for the color are from my stash. I punched the edge of the green paper with a Martha Stewart border punch and added some Assorted Crystals Sparkles to the flowers and the owl's eyes...for who can possibly resist an owl with sparkly eyes and a strokable belly? :-D

CTMH New Product Blog Hop

If you came from Joy's Blog then you are in the right place! For a complete list of bloggers participating in the hop, please refer to Melinda's Blog.

Close To My Heart (CTMH) just release its Annual Inspirations book on August 1, and I can't help but feel excited to share with you my latest projects using the products that you see in the book. I used the Seaside paper packet and White Daisy 12x12 cardstock to make these 3x3 notecards. I am participating in an online swap and these cards will soon find their way to their new homes. :-D I kept the designs simple so it will be easy to adapt them for Home Gathering Workshops.

The stamp set that I used for the first notecard is from Cuddly Salutations. I added some White Enamel Stars which I colored using ShinHan Touch Twin Markers in B68 Turquoise Blue and B262 Cerulean Blue Light. I used Lagoon Hearts Washi Tape to emulate waves.

I used the Treasured Friendship stamp set for this next notecard. I stamped the background using Flaxen Exclusive Ink Pad and Chocolate Exclusive Ink Pad for the sentiment. I added a trio of sequins from the Silver Sequins Assortment, for extra sparkle.

For the last notecard I used the stamps from the Your Own Kind Of Wonderful set. I stamped the background paper with Sorbet Exclusive Ink. The smaller butterfly and the sentiment were stamped using Glacier Exclusive Ink. I dotted the "i" with Bitty Sparkles and anchored the corner with Durables Triangle Studs. I added a strip of Gold Shimmer Trim at the bottom.

Color My Heart Color Dare Challenge #104

I can't believe I managed to make a project and upload it days before the challenge deadline! :-D I usually work on the days when the challenge goes live and off on Thursdays, but I'm off this weekend, so it worked out perfectly. The color inspiration for this week is:

I can't think of any paper with that color combination, so I decided to make my own B&T paper using the stamp set from Art Philosophy Cricut Collection. The images and sentiment also came from the same stamp set. I decided to fussy cut instead of using the cartridge since my noisy Expression would wake my little boy up. I used the following embellishments for this card: Sequins Gold Assortment, Shimmer Trim Teal, Ruby Chevron Ribbon, and Lagoon Hearts Washi Tape.

Come join the fun at Color My Heart Color Dare!

Halloween Pop Up Box Card

Box cards have been so popular for a while, so I decided to give it a try, thanks to the Splitcoastampers tutorial. I used theScaredy Cat paper packet from Close To My Heart, and the layout patterns from Reflections. The stamp set is from Halloween Greetings, stamped using Thistle, Black and Sunset Exclusive Ink.

I added Black Striped Twill Ribbon and a border with a bat design to the outside of the card.
