February Stamp Of The Month Blog Hop...A Happy Hello

Welcome to another fun and inspiring blog hop! If you came from Stefani's blog, then you're in the right spot! To help you get back on track in case you get lost somewhere along the way, visit Melinda's Blog.

February's Stamp Of The Month has a lot of floral images---perfect for the coming spring!

I made a layout using the Artbooking Cricut Cartridge and Heartstrings Paper Packet. I inked the flowers with Hollyhock Exclusive Inks Stamp Pad. I added some Sparkles Flourishes and Sparkles Clear Flourishes Small since there is no such thing as too sparkly!

I also made a card using Confetti Wishes paper packet inspired by the card sketch at page 19 of Originals. I embossed the Crystal Blue Cardstock with Diamond Embossing Folder, and added a Gold Shimmer Trim under the sentiment and Sequins Gold Assortment as my flower centers.

Color Dare Challenge #127.5

Here's this week's colors for Color My Heart Color Dare Challenge#127.5.

Why 127.5, you might ask...well, you can go to Color Dare's blog to see why, but in the meantime, here's my card that I had cut using the Artfully Sent Cricut Cartridge. The bright yellow of the Canary Cardstock contrasts beautifully with the Slate Cardstock. I felt a bit cheerful, so I stamped a "hello" using the sentiment from "This Moment", January's Stamp Of The Month, inked with Canary Exclusive Inks Stamp Pad. I added some Slate Diagonal Striped Ribbon for accent.

A Postcard From Paris

I absolutely love the Amour stamp set from the Seasonal Expressions catalog from Close To My Heart, and I had to play with it some more! I made a 1920s Paris-inspired postcard. I embossed the pearlized paper from Neenah with the Heart Embossing Folder, and cut out a Cranberry Cardstock frame using a die from Spellbinders, which I promptly stamped with the image of vintage lovers. The sentiment was stamped on a piece of Heartstrings paper packet, and fussy cut. To embellish my postcard, I added some Red Shimmer Trim, Black Shimmer Trim, Black Striped Twill Ribbon, and Sparkles Black Flourishes Small.

Color My Heart Color Dare Challenge #127

This week's colors at Color My Heart Color Dare are:

The color scheme definitely has a masculine vibe, so I decided to go that route and keep the design minimalistic. I took apart the circles from the heart target stamp from January's Stamp Of The Month, Straight From The Heart. I inked the circles with Black Exclusive Inks Stamp Pad. I cut the Indian Corn Blue Cardstock at 1 1/2" using the Artiste Cricut Cartridge for my sentiment. I placed Black Shimmer Trim behind the sentiment. I could not resist adding some Sequins Silver Assortment at the upper right hand corner just for some sparkle.

Color My Heart Color Dare Challenge #126

This week at Color My Heart Color Dare features neutrals--Bamboo, Black and Champagne.

I altered a spool for my design team entry. The Champagne Cardstock was stamped with the script from Amour, and I made Champagne Roses and a Black center rose using Art Philosophy cartridge. I colored the base and top part of the spool with a Black ShinHan marker. I added a Black Crystal Flourish for added accent.

Color My Heart Color Dare Snowhaven Challenge

This week's color palette at Color My Heart Color Dare is all about Snowhaven's color scheme:

I made a two page layout using Snowhaven Paper Packet, White Daisy Cardstock and my Artbooking Cricut Cartridge. I added some cranberry twine, Sequins Silver Assortment, Cranberry Striped Twill Ribbon, and inked the edges of the B&T paper with Cranberry Exclusive Inks Stamp Pad.

Year >> Noted, National Papercrafting Month Blog Hop

Welcome to the National Papercrafting Month Blog Hop! If you came from Michelle's Blog, then you're in the right place. If you got lost somewhere along the way, then you can find the list of hoppers in Melinda's Blog.

January is National Papercrafting Month, and Close to My Heart is having another fabulous promo! Here are the details from the flyer:
During the month of January, with a qualifying purchase of $50, you are eligible to purchase the exclusive Year >> Noted paper kit (which has a retail value of over $24 USD/$27 CAD) for only $5—that’s over 80% off retail! Or, for an additional $5, you can order the Year >> Noted paper kit with an accompanying My Creations ™kraft mini book. The paper kit for both options includes a C-size stamp set, stickers, cardstocks, and B&T Duos™papers, all specially designed to coordinate with the My Creations™kraft mini book so you can have a yearlong scrapbooking experience. This means you will receive over $34 USD/$37 CAD worth of product for only $10 if you purchase the kit with the accompanying mini book! But the fun doesn’t end there—included on the sticker sheet, you will find a large golden seal.

I decided to have a diary of sorts for 2015. I added some Snowhaven paper, Heartstrings zip strip, and Sorbet, Cranberry, Lagoon and Glacier cardstock into the mix. I also made a couple of 3"x4" and a 4"x6" PML cards for the mini album's pockets. I will be making more in the coming days/weeks/months since this mini is more of a work in progress.

The outside cover features some cutouts using the Triangle Border punch, and a strip of Gold Shimmer Trim along the spine.

For the inner cover, I had cut a library card pocket from Artfully Sent Cricut Cartridge at 4", and the "2015" is from Art Philosophy, cut at 1 1/2". The border is from Artbooking, cut at 6", real dial size on, and trimmed. For my embellishments, I added some Silver Sequins Assortment, and the same goes for the January card. The Valentine's card had the addition of a heart puffy from Stuck On You Puffies. The couple icon is from Artbooking, cut at 1 3/4" with real dial size on.

March is my birthday month, and aquamarine is my birth stone, so I decided to make a PML card in various shades of Lagoon and aqua. The PML card was embellished with butterflies from Junebug Puffies, Aqua Dots, Silver Shimmer Trim and Lagoon Hearts Washi Tape.

Here's Color Dare Challenge #124 to Welcome The New Year!

Welcome to another exciting color challenge at Color My Heart Color Dare! This week's colors are:

Winter automatically came to mind when I saw the color combination, but then I thought that the colors would also be perfect to make a card for a baby boy. The card base and the thought bubble is Kraft Cardstock. I colored the koala from Cute Koalas with ShinHan Touch Mahogany marker and some Copic markers, embossed the White Daisy Cardstock with Honeycomb Embossing Folder, and cut the sentiment from Artiste at 2 1/2" using Glacier Cardstock. I used Desert Sand Exclusive Inks Stamp Pad along the edges of the die cut. I could not resist adding a silver moustache from Stuck On You Puffies on the koala. :-D Some White Enamel Stars completed the look of the card.
