Color My Heart Color Dare Challenge #182

Let's continue with our happy colors at Color My Heart Color Dare! This week, our challenge colors are:

I needed to increase my stash of birthday cards, so I used the March Stamp Of The Month, Balloon Animals. I used Smoothie, Lagoon, White Daisy and Hollyhock Exclusive Inks Pad to stamp on the images. The background paper was from last year's Paper Fundamentals. I added some Teal and White Shimmer Trim, and the white gems from the Grey Enamel Gems pack. I added some framing around the stamped images using Smoothie, Lagoon and Hollyhock Cardstock.

Color My Heart Color Dare Challenge #181

This week's colors at Color My Heart Color Dare just scream "florals" to me.

I'm not a good stamper (although I do try to be one), and I ended up making my own background paper for this challenge. The tiny florals are from the Woodland Romance stamp set. The sentiment is from a stamp set from the Artistry Cricut Collection. I used Exclusive Inks Stamp Pads in Honey, Cranberry and Pear for the images. To embellish the card, I added a strip of B&T paper from Penelope, some White Shimmer Trim and a couple of resin flowers from Skylark (retired).

Color My Heart Color Dare Challenge #180

Love is in the air! This week, we are featuring the color red at Color My Heart Color Dare with this week's color combination:

This week is even made more special because we are partnering with Heart To Heart. Their challenge theme is “Share the Love”. You can use something with hearts, or use the stamp set from the February Constant Campaign which is also aptly named, "Share The Love". I was sharing some love and happy thoughts when I made these Ruby Cardstock gift envelopes. They measure 6"x5" and can hold an A2 card, and little gifts like chocolate, tea, and embellishments. I made my own template for them, and used the Thumb Notch Punch, so the goodies can easily be accessed. I added Pomegranate Cardstock panels to both envelopes which I punched with Scallop Border Punch, and striped paper from La Vie En Rose. I also added some Black and Red Shimmer Trim, a rose from Yuletide Carol Assortment, Red Enamel Hearts, and a Black Striped Twill Ribbon.

Lucky participants to BOTH blog challenges will also get a chance for a prize drawing, so come on over to Color My Heart Color Dare and Heart To Heart and join the fun! Winners will be announced on February 19, so make sure you include the link for both blogs in your entry. :-)

We are featuring the beautiful colors from the Charlotte paper pack in this week's challenge:

I used a format from Make It From Your Heart Volume 1 for my layout. I used White Daisy cardstock as my base, and Champagne and Sorbet cardstock for my photo mats. The floral cutout in Whisper is from the Artistry cartridge, cut at 9". I also cut some Black cardstock at 1" and 1 1/2" to cut the leaves. the label at the upper left hand corner was cut at 2 1/2" I added some Charlotte Complements to embellish the page.
