CTMH Artfully Sent Blog Hop

Welcome to another fabulous blog hop, this time featuring the newest Cricut cartridge from Close To My Heart, Artfully Sent.

If you came from Maria's Blog, then you're in the right place! Please visit Melinda's Blog for a complete list of blog participants.

The multiple envelopes and sleeve options that the newest cartridge has made it possible for me to make another mini album, this time with a Parisian summer theme. One could only wish for that season in a beautiful and romantic city when it's dreary and cold everywhere else, right? :-D

I used the neutral background and textures (B&T) paper from Yuletide Carol, and cardstock in Black and Champagne. I inked the edges of the Yuletide Carol paper and Champagne cardstock in Desert Sand. To add a touch of glam to the mini, I used Sequins Gold Assortment, Gold Shimmer Trim, Gold Polka-Dot Washi Tape, and Bling Gems Gold Assortment.

This accordion mini album was simply two 5"x7" cards taped together using the Gold Polka-Dot Washi Tape. What I love about this type of album is that you can keep on adding pages to it. :-)

Thank you so much for visiting! Your next stop would be Melissa's Blog.

  3. What a great way to use the new cartridge. I'm curious if you have tried to make a card with the Parisian lady. The one I made wasn't very stable even with CTMH card stock. Looking for suggestions!

    1. Cheryl, instead of making the Parisian lady cutout as a front flap, I adhered it to the card base, so it will be more of a mini album front rather than a traditional card.

If I were to make it into a card, I would cut out a separate acetate sheet as a backing, glue it on with Liquid Glass, and you're all set. You can still see the background, and yet the front will not tear easily. That's what I did with the pockets, so the cutouts will not tear when I take pictures/journaling spots in and out.
